ATS was established mid 2001 in Austria as a supplier of advanced Consumer Electronic products for professional markets in the USA and Europe. The company is governed by the group a managers with more than 20-years experience in this market. Company founder and CEO, Mr. Tad Synowiec, who is the only shareholder at the moment, has earned his vast experience at Koninklijke Philips Electronics N.V.
ATS group now consists of 7 subsidiaries around the world, operating in Switzerland, Poland, Spain, Hong Kong, Taiwan, The Netherlands and in Germany. Company offers DVD players and recorders (2007: 21% share in German market), LCD HD Ready and Full HD TV (2007: 15% share in Austrian market, 5% in Swiss market, 3% in Benelux market), as well as modern multimedia machines (HD Set-top boxes) that allows users to watch pay digital platforms, and record and play multimedia. Those are available under the brand names e:max, LEVEL and XYNO. Another part of ATS activities is the production of OEM hardware for external producers. ATS sells its own products through the 20 biggest global retail networks and food stores, eg. MediaMarkt, Dixons, Makro, Metro, Plus i Aldi.
In 2007 new consumer electronic factory has been built in Wierzbice, near Wroclaw, Poland. It has been built according to the FLEX model rules, that enales ATS to scale up the production number and change the product portfolio on a very short notice. In 2008-2009 two additional factories are to be built in the area.
In 2007 ATS AG reached 45,8 mln Euro sales revenues and 2,6 mln Euro Net Profit. In 2008 the company plans to be listed on the NewConnect market, governed by the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
Some History
ATS was established mid 2001 in Austria as a supplier of advanced Consumer Electronic products for professional markets in the USA and Europe. The company is governed by the group of managers with more than 20-years experience on the market.
In 2002 Advanced Technology Solutions signed a contract with Apex Digital Inc., Ontario, for the distribution of Apex branded products on the European market. Apex was the most successful start-up company in Consumer Electronics in the USA in the 5 years before 2002 (market leader DVD players in the USA). Mid 2003 ATS purchased one of the biggest brand names in the German Consumer Electronics Market: "Scott". ATS took advantage of financial problems of the Scott Group and acquired access to the biggest market in Europe, valued at more than 10 Billion EURO.
Early 2004 ATS introduced a new brand name: E:MAX , which started to dominate the German Market by the end of 2004 and has continued its success since then. In 2006 ATS introduced the brand name: LEVEL. Three months after introduction, the biggest retail company in Europe, METRO, put a full range of products on its shelves: DVD Players and Recorders and LCD TVs, from 15" up to 47".
In 2007 our new factory in Poland has been made operational.
Our leadership
The Management Team operates under the chairmanship of the President / Chief Executive Officer. The members of the Management Team have collective powers and responsibilities. They share responsibility for the management of Advanced Technology Solutions AG ("ATS") and its subsidiaries, the deployment of its strategy and policies, and the achievement of its objectives and results. The Management Team has, for practical purposes, adopted a division of responsibilities reflecting the functional and business areas monitored and reviewed by the individual members. According to "ATS objectives and Austrian law, the Management Team is guided by the interests of ATS and its subsidiaries within the Group, taking into consideration the interests of ATS" stakeholders, and is accountable for the performance of ATS.
